Sexy Pirate Wench Walks The Plank

Here is my first pirate wench design. I originally tried to paint a wench sitting on top of a pile of treasure, but I like shiny things, and got too carried away with the treasure. Artichoke Fairy

This is a design I did several years ago as an entry for the Castroville Artichoke Festival's poster contest. I did not win... /sigh... I guess there just isn't a large market for artichoke fairies... :) This design was done with various mediums on canvas. I had no idea that artichokes were so pretty, until I decided to try to paint one. I also ate my first whole artichoke while I worked on this project. I'd had pieces of them before on pizzas etc... but this was my first time digging into a whole artichoke. It was somewhat messy... but very tasty!
